Rags Parkland Sings The Songs Of The Future

Rags Parkland Sings The Songs Of The Future

World premiere production at Ars Nova 2018 directed by Jordan Fein:

About the show:

Rags Parkland is a singer-songwriter who lives 250 years in the future.

He is the central character in Rags Parkland Sings The Songs Of The Future, a sci-fi folk-concert musical about Rags Parkland and his former bandmates Beaux Weathers & The Future. Inspired by mid-century American folk music and science fiction writing, Rags Parkland lives at the intersection of Woody Guthrie and Philip K. Dick, painting a picture of a technologically advanced future in which the United States have splintered, Mars is being terraformed by forced labor, and constructed humans are fighting for the right to exist.
